It Gets Better

Don't you just hate it when you miss a sale?  Yesterday Bath & Body Works (B&BW) had $10 off of $30 and free shipping.  They also have 2/$22 three-wick candles.  I am mad at myself for not jumping on the deal.  I have a "leaves" three-wick candle that I have been holding onto since last fall.  It's my favorite scent and I am down to just one.  I ended up Googleing (if that's a word) Bath & Body Works coupons and found a $10 off coupon and they have $1 shipping today on-line.  Could you imagine my excitement?  I went to put my candles in my shopping cart and "boom", B&BW only allows you to use one promotional code per order (some companies will allow you to stack coupons).  Needless to say I didn't get my candles.  Knowing B&BW the sale will come back around.  So maybe next time.  What are some of your favorite B&BW scents?

Dilemma

By now you should know that many of my post titles are named after songs.  Yes, Dilemma is a song title.  I enjoy music and when I think of things for some reason it always comes back to music.  But I've digressed.  So I don't do social media.  I have been off of Facebook for a few years now and Twitter and Instagram for about a year now.  I've always been sort of a private person so blogging for me is kind of abnormal.  I'm always asked if I will ever go back to FB or any other forms of social media and I always say that I don't have any intentions of going back.  Now I am feeling kind of...what's the word? Hypocritical?  I don't want to get in to deep.  Do I set limits?  But then I don't want the blog to be an inaccurate picture of who I am.  Not sure if I am making sense.  Anyone out there?

Homemade Pasta

Okay, if knowing how to follow a recipe means you can "cook" then your girl has it down pat.  In all seriousness, I come from a family of amazing cooks and I have grown up watching them "throw down" in the kitchen.  My great-grandmother, grandmothers, mother, and great aunts were all phenomenal cooks.  I am in no way in comparison to them, but I do know my way around the kitchen (toot-toot).  I have been trying hard to make food from scratch.  So this Sunday afternoon I did just that.  I made homemade pasta.  From flour, salt, egg, and a tad bit of water to voila...pasta.  Pair the pasta with a vodka sauce, blackened chicken, and a garlic bread knot and dinner is served.   Maybe next time I will get fancy and make a flavored pasta. blah.

It's Been a Long Time, I Shouldn't Have Left You...

As the title states, It's been a long time.  I was in the process of making some homemade pasta and thought "what ever happened to that blog that I started?"  I hopped onto my laptop and then to Google, and it seemed to have not forgotten me.  Boy, a lot has changed since my first post about a year an a half ago.  Walk with me as I discuss love, wedding planning, working, family, and friends.  My timer just went off, time to tend to the pasta!  I promise to not wait a year and a half to write another post!

As I sat on the couch tonight contemplating beginning a workout regimen (yeah, I know...late start) I thought that I have so much to say to a few good people that are willing to listen or read. I'm not here to make any money (although some student loan pay offs would do great), I'm just here to share a small glimpse into my world.  Now, I'm no public speaker, just a lady with a lot to say...more to come
